Private Resume Check

Free ATS resume checker How does your resume score?

An AI resume checker that runs on your device. No sign‑up. Nothing uploaded. Ever.

Your resume never leaves this device. Here’s how to check.

How this ATS resume checker scores you

No tool can tell you your “real” ATS score. There are dozens of applicant tracking systems and none of them publishes one. What they share is simple: they turn your file into text, sort it into sections, and rank it against the words in the job posting. We score exactly that, out of 100.

Job matchHalf exact keywords, the way older ATS filters work. Half meaning: an AI model judges whether your resume covers each requirement, the way newer rankers and recruiters do. Only counted when you add a job.40
Measurable resultsBullets with numbers in them.12
Standard headingsExperience, Education, Skills, Summary.12
Contact detailsEmail, phone and LinkedIn as readable text.12
Action verbsBullets that open with Led, Built, Cut.8
Length400 to 900 words.6
Clichés and red flags“Team player”, first-person pronouns, the references line.10

Without a job posting, the other checks are scaled up to 100.

Your resume has your name, phone number, address and work history on it. Most resume checkers make you upload all of that to their servers and create an account first. This one can’t: there is no server. The scoring code and the AI model are downloaded with this page and run in your browser tab.

ATS resume checker: questions

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no account, no limits, no “full report” behind a paywall. It costs almost nothing to run because your device does the work.

What is an ATS?

An applicant tracking system is the software employers use to collect and filter applications. It turns your resume into plain text, files it by section, and lets recruiters rank and search candidates by keyword. If it can’t read your file, or your wording doesn’t match the posting, a person may never see it.

How do I raise my score?

Mirror the posting’s exact keywords where they’re true of you. Start bullets with action verbs. Put a number in at least 40% of your bullets. Use plain headings: Experience, Education, Skills. Cut clichés like “team player”.

Which file types work?

PDF, Word (.docx) and plain text, or paste the text. If your PDF scores zero because nothing could be read, that’s a real finding: it was probably exported as an image, and an ATS will see a blank page too.

Why do only some job links work?

Browsers can only read pages from sites that allow it. Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby publish open job feeds, so those links work. For LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday and the rest, we’d have to route your request through a server of ours, and we’d rather not have one. Copy and paste the description instead.

How can AI run without uploading my resume?

The AI model is small enough (about 22 MB) to download to your device and run inside your browser tab, using WebAssembly. It reads your resume and the job posting locally and judges whether each requirement is covered, even when you used different words. The formatting checks are plain, transparent rules. Neither part ever sends your resume anywhere.
